I had been a loyal SANTAM customer for years but since 2011 I have been getting more and more issues from SANTAM's side...
I had been paying in advance and decided to go with a group scheme from AF at my place of work.
Cancelled on 22/2/2013 effective on 28/2/2013. Got a cancellation confirmation from the broker and send it off to SANTAM as well...
Guess what SANTAM still went and debited R 3, 322.18 from my account...
On investigation I was sent from pillar to post 34 emails and 25 days later someone from their offices decided to call me regarding my complaining!
They only wanted to return the monies by 25th of March!
Which contract entitles them to do this?
What does the CPA have to say?
2 people emailed me that they could help me earlier than 25th of March.
They were contradicted by other supervisors from SANTAM...
I asked, explained about 20 times, pleaded, threatended etc. to get my money that was not due to SANTAM... I got a call today!
She told me that I would have my money back on the 26th of March! Let's see!
I actually think they owe me interest on that money they have been holding on to, that was incorrectly taken from my account!
