I called Discovery insure to get a price on adding a R15000 motorcycle, the agent gave me a price and a quote on the excess was R1000 and not R2000 as with my car.
I liked it and asked the guy to email me the quote, a few days later, (today 25-03) i call them to have it activated. then the call centre agent tells me that the excess is incorrect and they will have to move it back up to R2000.
I asked her that if i had actived the same time i called the policy would have been in misconduct, and she said yes, Why must i as a client be not given the oppertunity to stil keep the excess at the aggreed amount.
This surely is illegal what they are doing, i would like it if discovery can call me and have this resolved.
