Nedbank
Early deduction of debit order without my consent

On 15 March 2013 I received a text message from Nedbank informing me that the date of my installment for my personal loan, an amount of R1043.06 will be moved from 25 March to 22 March. My employer just deposited money into my account to pay for travel and accommodation for a business trip. I couId not afford to pay the instalment on 22 March. I called the number given for queries on 15/3/13 at 16:05, i.e. 0860103117 and complained about it. I also asked why this decision was taken. My salary is paid on the 25th of each month, therefore I signed the debit order for the 25th. The lady could not answer my question on why Nedbank took this decision. She said it was a "business strategy". She promised she changed the date of the instalment back to the 25th while we spoke. Tonight I discovered that 2 debit orders from Nedbank was deducted today, 22 March, to the value R1 801. 83!! I left for my business trip yesterday, I have to pay my accommodation tomorrow morning and I dont have enough money! In my view it is breach of contract, Nedbank initially changed the date without my approval, Nedbank did NOT change the date back to the 25th as promised. I need my money back now!
