I were part of outsurance a few years ago and cancelled my contract after a misunderstanding of a claim that I submitted for an item (camera) which were repaired. Sweet and short, i decided not to go through with claim but terminated my policy. It has been several years later where i claimed a windscreen from another short term insurance company, the car had its inspection 6 months before the incident, the windscreen were in perfect condition at that time. However the short term insurance company declined my claim and said that it is based on fact that i did not mention in my application with them that outsurance terminated a policy of mine due to dishonesty? As far as i know it were my decision to terminate the policy at that time with outsurance. Could you please provide feedback on this as this means in fact that i now have to pay for a windscreen to the value of R6000 out of my pocket only because the short term insurance company applicable decided that i did not mention that outsurance terminated my policy on my behalf (not true) and that they would propably not have considered my application if it were mentioned! Please provide feedback!
