I've been with Standard Bank for 10 years this year. I have a home loan with them and I'm a have a prestige account. I recently moved my car finance to Standard Bank. The reason I didn't start with them was poor service on their side where the consultant who was assigned to my inquiry was too busy when I called and failed to return my calls. That's another issue. My frustration today is that after all my loyal years with Standard Bank, they decline my request for a border crossing letter, I have comprehensive insuarance that gave me a thumbs up for the trip, and their excuse is my financing transfter is too recent. Considering my accounts and years with Standard Bank, I'm a 10 year old client with a home loan and I'
m denied a letter to cross the border becasue my car finance is 2 months old. I feel unvalued as a customer and I don't find that to be sufficient grounds when I'm a loyal customer with good credit record and with full insuarcance on the vehicle and I can't go to Swaziland for Easter. This wrong, and failure to have it resolved will force me to reconsider Standard Bank as my financial intitution of choice.
