Mthunzi was the call centre agent at One Plan Medical Insurance when I phoned on 13 March 2013 to log a claim. When he viewed my profile he advised me that I could not claim funds, as my insurance had been cancelled. I informed him that on 26 February 2013 I did give notice to cancel the policy, but a 1 month waiting period is applicable, which means that I still have cover for the current month of March. After a lot of going back and forth to get information, he eventually confirmed that the policy had been reinstated for the remainder of the month and that the funds for my claim had been made available.

Although I had to do a lot of verbal wrestling with him, and him in turn with his superiors, he was very understanding and managed to keep calm and be helpful all the time, and for this I compliment him for the professional manner in which he dealt with my query.
