I applied for a loan at African Bank in-seconds on Monday. I was called on Tuesday by a an agent who completed my application which was approved for R12000 plus a credit card of R4000. I was told to go to the branch to submit my papers which I did on Tuesday as well. The call centre agent asked for my employers name and I gave it to her but when I got to the store the agent had entred the wrong name on my application and I was told I needed my payslip to be stamped and signed at work and resubmitted. I did this and went back on Wednesday morning. The consultant in the store, Fezeka Festile, told me she had to fax the payslip to another department to confirm employment. I signed the contract and received my credit card and today I find out that the loan was declined because there is no landline on the company stamp. I told the agent when she called as well as Fezeka when I applied in store that we operate with cell numbers because we are constantly on site and they both said it's fine I can use any landline number. I am so frustrated to think that it took them 3 days to reply and THEY told me any landline can be used. Is there any way to reinstate this loan? What can I do?
