As I was leaving for 2 weeks to Europe I requested Nedbank to activate my business cards for use overseas - They confirmed that this was done. - The first use of the credit card (with a client) and the card bounces. My apologies were rendered and said I would draw cash and refund the client - The debit card also bounced!! The embarrasment was unbearable. I have contacted Nedbank via internet and my office 3x now - promises to fix Asap but to no effect. I am now 7 days in Europe and still no response or fixing the problem as promised.
I regret relying on Nedbank to fix or communicate a problem when I critically relied on them. Fortunately I personally bank with ABSA and a call was al that was necessary and all cards were activated. I will now ALWAYS have a backup when using Nedbank - I have had similar problems before therefore had provided a back stop.
