Hi - I received a notification that a personal loan was applied for at the Rosebank branch on the 14/03/2013 at 2pm SA time. I am situated outside the country and have not been in SA since December 2011. I contacted the call centre to report the however I was passed around from one department to another without anything been done or resolved, finally an agent said I must call the Rosebank branch. Which was of no help at all I was on the line for 20 minutes without a single customer agent answering. The receptionist decided to take my details and call me back which I am still waiting for a call back. I then called the call centre and they assisted by take all the necessary details and stated that will investigate further. I am still unsure of what is going to happen as this really frightening. FNB firstly needs to have a telephone number that is accessible to people situated outside as we cannot call toll free numbers. Secondly I have been living outside the country for more than 5 years how is it possible that someone can so easily enter a branch and apply for loan with anybody's details. I hope that someone will get back to me so that the matter.
