First National Bank
NO FICA DOCUMENTS ON SYSTEM

I went to bank to get a bank statement. The consultant Sugandree Naidoo printed it for me. As I was about to leave she noticed that my ID was in my maiden name. Although I supplied my marriage certificate along with it this now suddenly became a huge problem. She said I did not submit fica documents nor changed my surname and signature at the bank after I got married in 2004. I submitted all required docs for fica under my married name when the FICA rule came out years ago. I have been issuing cheques, have a cheque and credit card on my married name since 2004. Without any problems. Now suddenly there is no trace of anything on the system. She made me feel like a criminal, with everyone in the bank listening to what she is saying. She told me all the paperwork that I signed with her was now invalid and I had to sign the signature it is suppose to be. My signature of 9 years ago. Said I can't just decide one day to sign differently. Why should I be treated as a criminal and look like a fool if I done my part to submit all docs. I submitted change of address docs two years ago which was also never updated. FNB's system is useless. Loose your info and blame it on the customer.
