Loan Application Declined on Invalid Grounds

Good day,

I made a personal loan application at Standard Bank Cape Gate branch approximately 2 weeks ago. My application was declined the first time around because they used the wrong work permit in my passport, which has an expiry date of Feb 2014. I changed jobs over a year ago and that required me to apply for a new work permit, which expires in Feb 2016.

I sent them the new work permit but they have come back again and gave the reason that I will have only 8 months to pay the loan, and I keep telling them that they are using a wrong and invalid work permit in the process.

I have tried to speak to someone from the credit department but no one wants to explain to me why they would use an invalid work permit to process my application. I gave them my work contract, a letter from the company, and my salary is deposited by the new company, so there is enough proof that I changed jobs, but they are still insisting on using the old invalid permit.

I do not think it is the right thing to do and this defies any logic to me. No one is coming out to explain to me and I feel the whole process is also taking too long, at times I only get feedback after a week.

Please look into this.
