There was some water damage to my kitchen ceiling during to January 2013. On 23 Jan 2013 I submitted a claim to Standard Bank Home Insurance. Two weeks later a "contractor" come out to assess the damage. He confirm that a roof tile was broken and this caused the roof to leak. He said this was common problem and he had repaired many of these for Standard Bank in the past. The contractor took photos of the damage to the roof. The contractor left my premises shortly after but did not give me any paperwork to complete of sign. He did however indicate that he had assessed six claims that day including mine. Standard Bank Insurance later informed me that they reject the claim. I requested via email the report and photos from the Bank as I thought the contractor may have submitted someone claim on my claim number. The mail was sent to the Bank on 28 Feb 2013. To date no reply. If you phone the call center they tell you to request this via email.
