BAD SERVICE IN BANKING

Me and my Husband got a home loan from Std Bank in July 2012.We were advised that we can only apply for an access bond in 6months time. In Nov 2012, we went to another branch and were told that we can apply for an access bond immediately BUT need a current account with Std Bank (CATCH). Std Bank has the highest banking charges AND worst customer service. We opened up the account in our business name. This was quite a process. Nov 2012 we moved our STD BANK bond debit order from our personal acc to the new current acc WITH STD BANK.In Dec the debit order went off from he personal acc! Lucky there were enough funds. After 4 more visits to the BRANCH (which incl getting our ATM cards, SETTING UP ALL LIMITS and INTERNET BANKING) we have an account and debit orders switched. This month was MONTH 1 and payments needed to be made from this business acc ONLY to find out that the LIMITS on internet WERE NOT LOADED! Now we cannot pay anything! With FNB and ABSA these limits can be done on the internet site-STD BANK you need to go the branch! Call Centre cannot even assist. Why can STD BANK stop forcing people to join their bank when they cannot match competition! Shouldnt choice be part of human rights?
