Hi,

My home loan account is with Standard Bank. I decided to seek their help to consolidate my account to pay off few debts like levy, credit card etc. I contacted the call centre to find out the procedure to apply for credit assist and they emailed me documents I need to fill and send back to them to work on my application. I filled in the documents necessary and emailed the same on 2012/11/13. Two weeks later I contacted the call centre to find out the status of my application. The agents who worked on my application failed to go through the application meticulously and as a result didn't notice my payslip attached. So they marked the application as incomplete the reason being payslip is missing which is not the case. And almost after two weeks Lebo (Team lead) phoned me to say it wasn't the payslip but it is actually the balance sheet that wasn't attached with the application. It took them two weeks to figure that out. The agent I spoke this morning (2013-01-14) said it might take up to two weeks for them to give me a feedback on the application. I don't know what to do. I wanted to clear my debts and approached standard bank with hopes but all i am left with is frustration
