Looks like corruption to me

We had a home burglary end of December and there was damage to the palisade gate and motor as well as to the burgler bars at the back of the home that were sawed open to gain entry to the house. When I lodged the claim I was advised that I should have a response within 2 hours - in reality more than a week!!! The assessor came out had a look at the gate motor, said it was just a fuse and replaced it, apparently it was fixed. Within 3 days the gate motor did not work again so we are on manual with chains and lock which is risky to my family and house. Then the contractor pitches up and says he is there to paint the gate and the burglar bars. I ask him what about the gate motor and he says it is not part of the job. I insist that I get some sort of warranty on the motor that it is in good working order. The contractor phones someone and turns the Centurion gate motor wheel 3 clicks to the left and 1 to the right and it works. 3 days later it does not work anymore but the gate was painted and the burglar bars for R 5000.00!!! Ridiculous... Following up on this I get the silent treatment. The gate motor is still broken and to pay R 5000 for a paint job?? This is suspect...
