What a mission it is to replace a credit card at African Bank. Somebody needs to tell the consultants to remove those service promise leaflets on their desk because they are a bunch of and empty promises. I sent an emai to ask what docs are needed to replace a card, and I was told that its I'd and proof of address. I went into the branch in Midrand Bears and Musa confirmed that these are the required documents. I got the docs together and when I got to that very same branch a few minutes later, I am told they can't replace cards because the branch manager is not there and I must go to another branch. I walk to the other branch only to be assisted by a consultant who looks very bored to be at work. She issues me a new card. When I get to the ATM the card doenst work. I went to the third branch, its at this branch that I was informd that all available balanes above R1000 are "warmed" and you have to send documents to the head office to request an "unwarm" satus. This consultant at the Boulders branch went to the other branch to ask them to do their job properly. It takes about 48hrs for the account to be umwarmed. I am heavily pregnant and had to walk in the sun for nothing
