I received a e-mail claiming it was from FNB eBucks & informing me that I have been rewarded eBucks on my FNB cheque card. I do not have an FNB cheque card. I tried to find an e-mail address on the FNB website where I can forward the message for their information and action. None is provided.
On the website I found phone no 087 575 9444 for Prevention. The lady I spoke to was not convinced that it was, despite the information I provided. She did not have an e-mail address where I could forward the e-mail. When I insisted that I was 100% certain it has to be, she said she would transfer me elsewhere but in effect terminated the call.
I then called "General" no 087 575 9404 . None of the options provided had anything to do with Complaints, yet the website states that this is for "Telephone Banking, enquiries, complaints and compliments".
I am not a FNB client. If my experience is an indication of how serious FNB considers the matter of, then I prefer not to become one of their victims of.
Luckily my bank is serious about and publishes an e-mail address where everything that looks like can be sent to.
