I was involved in an accident lastyear and then I called my insurer New National (Affinity) responded and sent an AA towing truck which then took my car to the nearest panelbeater of their choice and after a month the declined my claim stating that my claim falls within my excess of R 15 000 and my claim according to an assessor they sent who qouted the damage to about R12 450 they declined my claim based on this. I have pursued this with the short term insurance ombudsman n they haven't paid. I would for them to reimburse me for costs I paid to fix my car. I paid R10 000 to get my car realesed from the panelbeater and R1900 plus R285 for the repairs done.
