My wife and I are emigrating to Perth in a few days. One of my wife's colleagues applied for finance at standard bank to buy our vehicle and this was clearly a BIG mistake. An important thing to mention is that my wife and I are both clients of Standard bank and so is the buyer. Also, we financed our car with standard bank. what can be easier? 2 clients applying for finace at the same place? So, after they applied (my wife even went with the buyer to the bank to make the process easier), the bank said the process will start. After almost a week, the buyer phoned the bank to find out what was going on. The person who was dealing with the account said they were approved 3 days prior.. No one contacted them. So, we were told to take documents in. We handed the same documents in 3 times. So it carried on for 2 weeks. The branch who assisted us was Key west. (Also a terrible experience and because of internal politics, our process did'nt go smoothly) The only competent person there was Riana. It has now been 4 weeks and our account is still not settled. I am STILL waiting for the department manager to phone me. Terrible service! incompetent employees! Moving forward???
