I have a small Retirement Annuity Policy with Old Mutual, that I tried to claim at the end of January 2013. As I already have another larger Annuity, that I claimed 5 years ago, I was told that it should be added to that. However, I want to be paid the full amount of about R12 000. I am told that I would only be allowed to take a third (R4000) and that the R8000 would be added to my existing investment. BUT, they can't give me R4000, as their system can only give quotes on amounts over R10 000!! My Old Mutual Advisor has told me to write to the Old Mutual Annuities Help Desk, which I've also done. What else can I do, to get money that is mine!!??
