I find the service of Absa Bank absolutely ridiculous. I don't even bank with Absa and I am receiving text messages on my cellphone on a daily basis allowing me to see all of the movement on a Absa Bank users Account.
When I contacted the Absa Banking Centre on 0860008600 I was told by Natasha that I need to go to a local branch to stop the smses from coming to me. WHY??? I am reporting the fault and now I need to stand and waste my limited time rectifying an issue. I am disgusted that Absa cannot contact the Absa Bank User who isn't receiving his/her messages and assist with rectifying this.
Yet another reason why I will never ever bank with Absa. You don't get service and you, the Consumer, have to rectify issues because consultants for Absa Bank are simply not able to do a better job.
