I consulted with my attorney regarding the fnb credit card was adviced that this debt prescribed before FNB handed this debt over to your firm for collection. 3 years had passed without FNB claiming this debt before handing it over to the firm for collection. In terms of the Prescirption Act, a debt is deemded to have prescribed if its been 3 years since last payment and in that time i have not been summoned in respect of it. this debt was also written offi in 2009. Most firms and assume that consumers are not aware of their rights hence, they continue to harrass us and threaten us with legal action if we dont pay, but you fail to advice cleints that debts have prescribed because all they want to do is collect, but thanks to Attorneys who can advice us. As a result of this, i hereby request fnb to advice Groenewald and Lubbe Attornyes firm to refund me all monies I have paid and close this file and account. If your fnb is not in agreement with this, kindly provide me with proof to substantiate why you disagree. Fnb is continuing to add interest every month and the firm also is continuing to add interest. I am a client of Fnb and wish to stay with fnb due to the excellent service
