Good Riddance to ABSA

I allowed ABSA to the last hour of my time that they will ever be able to but they took my money as well! I stood in the branch and closed my accounts and what a process it was. Firstly I wasted 30 minutes in the queue for customer services, firstly we closed the cheque account, I did have a positive balance so they needed to refund me but not before they took their share of charges over R90.00. Then onto the credit card, this I had to do over the phone, eventually we are at the point of closing the account and the clerk makes no mention of the positive balance that is available on the credit card, after reminding him of this he advises that after charges for closing the account there is R42.00 left, if I draw this from the teller it will cost me R60.00 but I can transfer that into my cheque account, when I tell him it is closed he tells me no problem ABSA will happily write of the amount for me. After being a platinum client for over 10 years ABSA will never ever hear from me again.
