Good day, I went under debt review in 2010. I followed all the right channels and it was approved by court for a period of 44 months. Last year Newtons start calling me in connection with my Absa accounts, I believe Absa have handed me over. I explained to them that I'm under debt review and emailed them all the documentation and provided them with John's details (Debt counselor). Newtons tell me Absa don't accept debt review and I need to settle these accounts. I phone John and ask what's going on. John came back and explained to me where my account was R 4000 it is now R 9000. So the money I pay monthly to NPDA only get stuck at the Absa accounts. John did contact Absa and Newtons and try to sort all of this out. About a month ago a lady from Absa phoned me and told me the account was now rectified. Still Newtons phone me on a weekly basis and every time it's a different person that has no knowledge of the debt review or previous conversations. I'm so sick and tired of this. How can I find out what is going on? Neither Absa or Newtons seems to know what is going on. Please Help!
