Logged a claim with Standard Bank Insurance brokers 2 weeks ago for storm damage. Received a voicemail message from Alvana on 04/02/2013 stating that the claim had been rejected and should would call me back. That call never came.
After a few attempts of calling the call centre and holding on in the queue for over 20 minutes I finally spoke to Julia on 07/02/2013. She confirmed my e-mail address and stated that I would receive a letter and report before close of business the following day (08/02/2013).
Today is 11/02/2013 and still nothing. Obviously this is the norm with Standard Bank or are they trying to hide why my claim was rejected.
I think that I need to refer this to the Ombudsman!
