Great was my surprise when we apply for a second bond on our home loan, and it was declined with the reason outstanding credit card. One year ago we applied for a home loan at Standard Bank and it was granted with no issues.
I phone several of people and send emails back and forward (Keanon Appolis at legal dep).
The issue with the credit card was sorted already in 2008. We was handed over for our outstanding balance on our home loan, petrol card, overdraft, credit card. The first lawers (Munnik and Basson) contact us in 2005 and tell us that this accounts was handed over to them by Standard bank. We agreed on an amount per month and they gave us an account number and reverence where to pay the amount every mont. In 2006 we got a telephone call from Baley and De Gama attorneys and said that we have to pay no at their offices> they gave us an account number with the same revernce number. We paid this account and then receve a letter in 2008 that said there is a amount outstanding but if we pay this amount then the account will be settled.
