Joined in 2005. A 2000 Mazda model insured, in 2009 added a 2006 Tata. Ins. premiums were just under R2, 000.00 a month. Another insurance co.' premium is less than half the current. Outsurance immediately brought down the premium to R1014. When I called to enquire how to cancel the policy I was asked why I am leaving. I told them that they are overcharging me and have been doing so since day one. I was told that the premium was high because of claims - I had one smash and grab claim where nothing was but the window needed replacing, in fact I actually got the reward for not making a claim in 3 years. I was told that the premium reduced because of their new campaign. I was then told by a supervisor that the reason why the premium decreased is because I had made a query. I did not contact Outsurance prior to them reducing the premium. He said that this is impossible as only my query could trigger them to review and he would investigate this. I am still waiting for his call". At the end of the day, they are overcharging premiums, told me it is my fault for not querying earlier. I can understand R200-R300, but close to R900 makes no sense!!
