Greenbacks converted to insufficient Mango vouche

On Tuesday 29 January 2013 I converted my Nedbank Greenbacks for a voucher of R1, 900 to redeem for 2 flights from Mango Airlines and a day later received my voucher.

I intended to use the voucher for 2 tickets from CPT to JHB, which cost exactly R1, 900, however since we are returning on different days, I had to purchase the two tickets in two seperate transactions.

I first paid with my Greenbacks voucher for my husbands flight from CPT to JHB - R799, wanting to use the excess of my Greenbacks voucher of R1101 for my flight costing R1099. When the first flight was paid for, Mango exchanged the remaining balance of my Greenbacks voucher for a mango voucher of the same amount.

Then when I booked and wanted to pay my flight of R1099 with the Mango voucher, Mango only took R830.70 off my voucher and said that I must pay the airport taxes and vat separately as the voucher is only for the airfare.

This is not fair since I bought greenbacks vouchers and not Mango vouchers and now lost the remaining balance of the mango voucher. I contacted Nedbank and they were helpful but blamed Mango. They should amend their agreement with Mango if this is what Mango does to their customers.
