Money paid WRONGLY into my account

Three weeks ago an attorneys firm in kroonstad, who did my deceased mothers estate, accidently paid money into my account. The cheque was a Nedbank cheque. First they had to wait for the cheque to be cleared.
Then for the rest of the time the attorneys firm, Grimmbeeck and Partners, Kroonstad must hear every day that they will be informed what the bank will do.
I mean it is not the banks money!!!
How is it possible that the bank takes 3 weeks to decide IF they are going to pay the money back. This attorneys firm are putting pressure on me now about their money although I am actually not involved. The lady that the attorneys firm are emailing and phoning for the last 3 weeks are Raechal Pillay tel nr 0873430089.
Can somebody please assit!!!
