Two debit orders for an amount of R399.99 and R299.99 were taken off my account without permission. I called STD Bank and informed them. they say its 40 days overdue and therefore cannot reverse these amounts. I will have to pay them R180 per item. I think this is so unfair. I trusted standard bank with my money and they have not honored that trust. i feel STD BANK is not protecting me. This is the third time round i am having such problems and i have to sort these out myself. I am seriously considering closing all my account with STD BANK and move over to FNB... its very frustrating when your money is off your account and the Bank can do nothing or we must pay them for it... eish give me a break... i am curious as to how these theives get our banking details... is this happening from inside the bank???
I am also going to write to the OMBUDSMAN about STandard bank.
When i called the company that has taken my money... believe it, they only have a cell phone number 0847145768 and it goes to voice mail. Standard bank you are being pathetic??? totally angry and annoyed, disappointed, frustrated..., .
