I went in on 21 January to reverse a payment back into my back account as well as cancel all further debit orders from this institution on my account. I had the notification letter, my ID... everything needed to do this. The debit order was reversed and I was told that all future debit orders will be cancelled. I was surprised at the good service received from ABSA regarding this. And then... another debit order from this institution went off my account!!! Now I ask you, how did this happen??? I really hate ABSA with every fiber in my being, if only it was easier changing banks. I will have a look at changing to another bank as your service is just pathetic all round.
