I want to make it publically aware that Absa will not hekp a customer via their telephone banking or when you phone into a branch on assistance with unauthorised debit order that go through your account, For the past 2 years I am not using my Absa account, so that I can pay off the overdraft, yet there is debit order going of from the weirdest people I have not heard of before. I have lost almost R 1000 because no one will assist you to reverses these debit orders and placing a stop on it. You have to go into a branch.
How are we as customers suppose to accept this. I work from 7.30 to 17.00 with no lunch break. I work in Sandton and stay in Kempton Park. I have to work on Saturdays. Sundays I have family obligations. How on earth must I go into a branch for help on something that ABSA allows to happen, without my permission. I do understand protecting customer info, but I am not protected with unauthorised debits going through my account... This is part of a syndicate scheme and Absa is unwilling to assist
