I wish just one person in ABSA can help.. just 1

I had an overdraft with Absa, which I fully paid up, and closed the cheque account altogether, mid last year. As per the consultants at Absa, they confirm that my account shows up as closed, properly, with nothing owing.

The problem that I have here is, I just checked my credit profile this month, and found that I have a default status on that overdraft.

All that I need, is for Absa to rectify my ITC profile by clearing the default then. That is rocket science apparently.

Well, first, for the consultants to figure out the right department to speak to, is, uhm, an "interesting" experience. Basically, here's a summary of how I was transferred (over a period of 2 days):
General Enquiries -> Collections -> Cheque Account Division -> Credit Card Division -> Collections -> Legal -> Collections -> General Enquiries -> Personal Loans -> Card Division -> Legal -> Credit Card Division -> Cheque Account Division -> ... HelloPeter.

Surely you understand the gravity of a bad credit profile, especially when it is not called for. Pleas assist.
