A few years ago a property was purchased through fnb where I thought I signed surity but im told now fnb doesnt have surity and its a joint bond. The problem now is getting my name removed from the bond because I no longer stay at the property but im told now i have to buy an offer to purchase fron CNA and it. Will have to go through lawyers etcm If the other party who is currently paying the bond for the past 7 years does not qualify fnb will not remove my name from the bond or if the other person is now has a bad credit record but is paying the bond monthly my name still cant be removed unless the house is sold. This is rediculous because the bond is being paid but the house must be sold due to the other party being removed from the bond who doesnt even make any payments. This is a rediculous process from fnb surely there should be another simpler way or is this just fnb's way of holding onto clients.
