Hello, I used an ATM at the Standard Bank in Durban CBD, Dr Pixley Kasema (formerly West Street). I requested R3000 cash and after a moment the ATM returned my card with a blank receipt but no cash. I then went into the bank and spoke to someone at Enquiries who told me that the bank was not responsible for the ATM's as these were managed by a third party. A few minutes later I received an sms stating that my account was now R3000 less. I was told at the bank they all they could do was lodge a claim but not promise me that I would get my money back. This is ridiculous as any CCTV footage of the ATM's will clearly show that I did not receive any cash during my transaction. What is more frustrating is that the bank refuse to give me any assurance that I will be assisted.
