I moved from KZN to JHB late November 2013. Prior to moving I contacted Discovery in September where it was confirmed by the call centre agent that my contents were fully covered against, damage, collisions, fire, etc. As such I did not take out insurance with the removal company. When my contents arrived on Monday 25 November, several items were either damaged or broken. I logged a claim with Discovery on I think Wednesday 27 November which was handled well, however once it was handed over to an assessor everything went pear shaped. I had to keep contacting him and have now been unable to contact him for over two weeks. My claim is still not settled and he has changed his tuned a few times when I did speak to him previously. I requested that he go back to the telephone recordings of the consultant calling me to advise I was fully covered but he refused to do so or provide me with an escalation path. Discovery insure your service leaves a lot to be desired!
