My account was handed over for collection to Norton Attorneys by Standard Bank credit card division. I immediately made contact with Norton and made a payment arrangement and paid them R4000 the same day to honour my agreement. I have been paying every month without fail now for 10 months and have 1 more instalment to clear the account. However, they continue to harass me with sms/phone calls and keep on adding charges as and when they see fit. They even charge me to call them! They charged me R525 for a summons AFTER I had already made contact and started to pay. A summons I did not even receive. I have been trying to get a final settlement amount from them (and querying some of their charges) for almost a month now. The last response I received from a Victor was "what is it that you are not understanding? If you continue to mail me, I will not respond. You may as well take the matter further..." When I asked him why his attitude was so bad and that I was a paying customer who was entitled to query, his response was "you are just a debtor" I am angry at Standard Bank for allowing this company to harass me and treat me in this manner. It is unacceptable. All I want to do is settle
