Towin co did not have authorisation to tow my ca

A Mr Grobler from Miway sent me a letter that I felt questioned my integrity. Took my car from tow-in (1st Call) company that did not have authorisation to tow my car from accident scene and at the end my claim was rejected and I have to pay R8, 000 to get my car back, this is unacceptable. Miway took my word that is the paid up customer against the tow-in company's word. I cancelled the car on the 19th August 2013 from my insurance and the accident happened on the 25th August when my monthly payment did not went thru yet. According to a clause in my policy it stated that "Any change or amendment which I make will be affective to the time and date agreed to. I have to give Miway a month notice prior to cancelling my policy, which entails that a pro rata premium could be collected at the next collection date.
Scenario: Should I contact Miway at the 4th of the month, the cancellation will be effective on the 4th of the following month. I will therefore have cover until midnight on the 3rd of the following month". Miway did not handle this claim correct from the beginning, they asked me all the questions and humiliate me and at the end the claim was rejected.
