I switched from a savings account to a cheque account on the 15th March. Part of ABSA's terms and conditions were that the switching of my debit orders will be hassle free - so the switching of my salary and debit orders will be handled by them. I need only fill in a form and send it to their switching department.
To date, none of my debit orders have been switched and only after complaining did I receive an sms to say that they have only received my form and I must call my branch.
I call my branch only to be told that the switching department does not handle the switching and I need to come in and sort it out with the broker.
This is really frustrating and inconvenient as over a month as passed and there has zero to none feedback from anyone at ABSA. I had to follow up and know whats going on. Their service and I will now be switching and closing my accounts after being a client of 20 years or more with them.
