Ad service, impossible requests

I have been struggling with Old Mutual for over a year now. My mother Susara Elizabeth Maria Botha 5712290110084 passed away last year on the 27th November 2011. She had 2 policies with Old mutual.. I have sent through death certificates, executor letters and replied to all their requests. Now they want a death certificate of my mothers first husband who died in 1978. Where do they expect me to find that? They also want my mothers divorce settlement from her second husband, ( who none of us have contact with) This is starting to become absolutely ridiculous!! What am I to do about this situation? I am the executor of her estate, I have never had to deal with anything like this before, and I am fed up. They keep telling me to re send things as their e-mails have a huge back log. Why is this my problem as I have enough trauma to deal with after my mothers Passing.

Please can someone help or advise, because I have never had such terrible service and impossible requests as to sort out these policies!
