Vehicle accident claim & I got a confirmation from the insurer that vehicle was a write-off, I supplied all the necessary upon request, then claims consultant told me there might be a problem with my claim since my vehicle was a code3, I supplied confirmation that the underwriting consultant confirmed with me that they do insure code3's & that in case of a claim, claim will be settled with 25% less the percentage insured. Then this dragged till June 2012 with no decision & being sent from pillar to post. I then took the matter to the Ombudsman. 1st responsse was that my vehicle was in an accident in 2007 & was a write-off & was never repaired since then 7 therefore was not roadworthy, I then supplied all the necessary as proof that vehicle was indeed raodworthy, I supplied even the traffic fine. Then 2nd reply, was told the injuries I incurred was due to assault from my husband not from vehicle accident, that was very disturbing as husband passed on 5 years ago
& this dragged till 2012 December when the assessor was sent to check on the car which he confirmed vehicle was indeed fixed & up to date Im still waiting & still paying premiums since then. This is so unfair!!!
