After complaining about the same probleem 2 weeks ago, I have same issue again. I made a payment last night at 21:00 and only received the email today at 13:25. From the headers I can see that the email was only sent by Standard Bank's servers at 13:25 today. This is more than 12 hours after making the payment.
Please remove the charges from my account for the e-mails. Add the ability to download the PDF document from the internet banking website itself, or if you can't fix it, remove the proof-of-payment option completely. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. Standard bank's internet banking division should all be dismissed immediately and get yourself a decent IT team. Completely redo the disaster you call internet banking. FYI, there is a thead on MyBroadband where others have the same issue and simply "take screenshots of the payment" because of the bad service. What a terrible bank.
