I entered for the 21 km PWC race and paid for this entry. We only received water at the first 2 waterpoints, thereafter there was no more water. People were dehydrated along the road and getting really sick - and this on one of the hottest days of the season. At some water stations there were still bottles of cooldrink left but no cups, so officials told athletes that if they want, they must drink it out of the bottle!!!
It is unacceptable that athletes receive no form of hydration for 15km / or are expected to drink out of the bottle! I am really unhappy about the organisation of this race! What did I pay for? They should not be allowed to organise a race again as they do not care about the athletes' safety! I will certainly not support this race if it is ever on the calender again.
