Bank that cannot do a manual debit. What a joke!

Good day,

I have a personal loan that is debited every month when my salary is paid in (20th). I was paid on Saturday. I have not changed my banking details and there are sufficient funds in my account. The debit order did not reverse, according to FNB, and there is no record that there was an attempt to debit my account. I got an SMS stating that my account is in arrears. I called and was assisted by Lindiwe who clearly did not want to assist. The issue is not on my side and she could not explain as to why the debit order did not go through. I then asked if my account could be debited and she said that they cannot do manual debits - WHAT BANK CANNOT DO A MANUAL DEBIT??? Your banks do not allow me to swipe my FNB card in the branch and I am not walking around with R1500 in order to pay this. I am not even able to do a transfer into the loan account as it reverses. (I have been into a branch where they provided me with details that did not work). If I wanted to be a cash paying client then WHY WOULD I HAVE A DEBIT ORDER??? The fault is not mine. Please can someone competent just debit the money and please ensure that my ITC record is not affected by your incompetence. Thank you.
