The week end before the big hail storm that hit at the end of 2012. We emptied the pool to do a acid wash and clean it out. The following weekend we started filling it up when the hail storm hit. Our solar panels got destroyed and a perfect round hole got knocked in the deep end. We put in a Claim with ABSA short term insurance. We got advise from several pool companies. They advised that the pool can only stay without water for about three weeks. We clearly stated when we put in the claim that the pool was empty and that time was a factor. The assessor had to check our pool 3 times because he kept loosing his docs They eventually rejected the claim saying that our pool is to old and we didn't do maintenance on it. Last time I checked cleaning a pool ins maintenance. They said that they will pay for the solar panels. They want to give us about R1000 to replace 6 panels. When we call them we hang on for 20 minutes only for the phone to be dropped in our ear when they hear who it is. We have gone from having a fully functional pool to having a frog invested "cesspool" due to their laughable incompetence. WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR OUR MONEY TO REPLACE THE SOLAR PANELS LIKE YOU PROMISED
