Breached Bank Account Blamed on the Client!

I hold two accounts with Standard Bank for which the debit card to one account was taken by an ATM machine on 14/12/13 with no slip issued & no withdrawal made. I immediately called Standard Bank Card Division on 0800020600 requesting that the Bank block both my cards for the two accounts as a security measure. I was informed that this was done and was issued with a reference number:1221041229. I continued to travel with the assurance that the Bank had blocked my cards. However upon my return to SA, I realised funds had been from my account with a shopping payment at Spar all within 12 minutes on the 14/12/13. Despite the cards being blocked on 14/12/13, withdrawals & balance enquiries continued until the 18/12/13. The Bank has declined my claim based on the notion that the account was stopped on the 02/01/14 how is this even possible when I have phone records and a reference number indicating I blocked the cards on 14/12/13. I thought the calls are recorded and that the reference # means something! Apparently it certainly does not in Standard Bank. I have also discovered the Bank has a "GHOST" card on my profile with no explanation. How do you trust such a Bank!
