I was recently contacted by a Gentleman who introduced himself as Willie from DMC Debt Management in East London. Willie claimed that he was on a visit to Bloemfontein where I live and would like to see me as he has a solution to a big problem that I had. I requested Willie to explain what he was he was talking about. He explained that I owed Markhams R1900.00. But Willie who was incredibly friendly explained that I need not stress as he was here to help me. I asked Willie to call me back the next morning.
That evening I contacted my Attorney to confirm that this debt had prescribed as the last payment ever made on the debt was in February 2010. My Attorney immediately advised me to inform Willie that this debt had prescribed.
Next morning when Willie called, I placed him on speaker phone. I explained my advice from my Attorney.
Suddenly Willie who wanted to help me vanished. He became rude and aggresive. He threatened to send the sheriff to my house and remove everything I owned. Thereafter he would send the sheriff to my work. I kept trying to explain to Willie. The call ended when Willie called me a Ape and ended the call. Disgusting! Im very unhappy about this.
