I applied for vehicle finance at Standard Bank Menlyn branch on the 20th of December 2013 and received an approval in principal very quickly. Then the fun started when all my documents were faxed through on the 23rd of December. I was informed by a gentleman with the name of Moses that my temporary drivers license was not acceptable because I am not banking with Standard Bank. Just want to mention here that I supplied them with copies of my temporary license, receipt when I applied for the renewal on the 15th of November 2013 and even my old drivers license. I went to Centurion Licensing office on the 27th of December 2013 but it was closed until 2nd of January 2014. I communicated with Moses telling him I will be on leave and will go on the 6th to collect my card license even though I haven't received a notification. On the 6th they told me that the scanner could not read my prints. I gave a second set and was told to wait for another 6 weeks. I then approached the Road Traffic Management Corp for a confirmation. Received ecellent service and was issued with a confirmation of valid card drivers license expiring on 15 November 2018. Submitted this but Standard DID NOT ACCEPT PROOF
