I signed a personal loan in October and at the same time a debit order for the monthly installments.
I received a letter recently that my account is in arrears and that my first installment has not been paid.
1. I signed a debit order
2. I do not know when the first installment was due, but I was not bothered as I had signed a debit order so knew it would be taken when due
3. I am now told it was due 1 November 2013 and was not paid
4. Nedbank never debited me on 30 October or 1 November and not a single debit order bounced
5. Then HOW CAN I BE IN ARREARS???
6. You are affecting my credit record negatively and I will sue you for that!!! THIS IS NOT MY PROBLEM
7. I suggest you ad this 'arrears' payment to the end of the agreed term and debit it after the last installment, thus extend the term by one month as I budget accordingly and cannot pay this installment double in one month to make up for this and I shouldn't have to as I am not a criminal and I am not someone that does not paid their bills.
8. I would like resolution hereof as a matter of urgency and my name cleared at the Credit Bureau. IT IS NOT MY FAULT.
