Atm withdrawal - no cash given but deducted

It really sad that I have to write this. However due to lack of response I sure hope that by posting this SOMEONE will get back to me. Thursday 02/01/2014 - I went to go and withdraw some cash at a Nedbank ATM (there was no ABSA ATM around). I requested a certain amount. Then ATM then informed me that: "withdrawal cannot be completed". No slip printed so I thought that there was a problem with the machine and tried to withdraw at another ATM - this time Standard Bank. Same thing happened. I did receive a slip saying "Transaction has been declined, please contact your institution". Stressing, I get my cellphone out and my bank notification sms shows that both amounts I tried to withdraw from my account have been deducted yet I DID NOT RECEIVE THE CASH! Frantically I call the ABSA call centre and get USELESS help, I go to the nearest branch in Hillcrest, where I am met with bad attitude (Sharon the BM did call and apologise - as I later phoned and complained about the in-service). My dispute about what happened to my money was logged and I received a complaint number, but I was told it can take up to 11 days to sort out? How am I supposed to survive while this is being resolved??
